So it started to warm up and I am not liking this ... the weekend was pretty dang hot but at least it cooled down during the week but does this mean the party is over on the nice weather?? It was about 90 over the weekend, how do you jump 20 degrees in just a day, how?!? How does this thing called weather work and why aren't we controlling it by now? We have snow machines, wave machines and other machines. So where is our weather controlling machine and why isn't it installed yet? Think of all the lives we could save with cooler weather ... so so many lives. The heat, it burns the flesh it does!! It makes cold water into warm thus undrinkable ... save the planet and save humanity!! Get us our machine please!! We need it now!
Weekly Update:
What happened this week??! I can't even remember ... my brain is fried or something again. Oh, I signed up for that meal plan thing, Blue Apron. Friend of mine gave me a free invite for the first week free. So right now just waiting and seeing in the long run if it will be worth it. I noticed the dishes you pick, lot of cabbage! I loathe cabbage ... it is filler food and has no flavor. It serves no purpose other than to make a meal look five times bigger than it should be. How ever grows this stuff should be made to sit in the door for a week with no water because that is what it does, absorbs the water from your mouth and body! I once accidentally made a salad out cabbage when I was little because I had no idea what it was ... worst accidental bite of food I ever had! Cabbage ... you are my mortal vegetable enemy. I don't think its even a vegetable but a sponge of nothing.
At the movies:
The racers stay on top as "The Fate of the Furious" continues at #1 with an extra 38.7 mil and on its way to 200 mil cume domestic. Already an international hit, this movie should end up just past 200 for the US. Holding ground at #2 is "The Boss Baby" with another 12.8 mil and continues its Spring run. Also holding ground in its 6th week is "Beauty and the Beast" with another 10 mil as it is shy of 500 mil domestic, unlikely it will reach it but you never know. New at #4 is Born in China with a nice 5.2 mil opening and right on exceptions as well. Rounding off the top 5 is "Going in Style" with anther 5 mil as this will be going out of style next week.
New movies that did not make the top 5:
Quite a few this weekend, Unforgettable was pretty forgettable coming in at #7 with only 4.8 mil and no surprises with that number. Coming in at #9 is The Promise with only 4 mil and again, not surprised with this opening. Finally is Fire Fall in at #18 with only 1 mil to open and fairly disappointing but not entirely surprising either.

I am really loving this weather lately. Have all the efforts in the past 10+ years finally starting to pay off? I mean we continue to have really nice days in the 70's with breezes and nights are chilly but isn't that how its suppose to be? Now, I have two jackets I love to wear all the time but each one of them has something wrong with it. One is a button down and a middle button is missing or broken. Its one of those fastener buttons. The other is a little heavier jacket and the zipper is broken. Actually just one of those tiny little teeth in the run is missing and to fix it will be about $55?? What?! I mean its a great jacket, was a promo item but still. So going to see if I can some how fix it myself.
Weekly Update:
What happened this week? I can't even remember ... after the previous week's adventures I felt like this week was just recovery from the last week. Did I do anything? Did I go any where? I think I just worked and slept trying to recover because when you are in Vegas, you don't really sleep much if at all. Although the past couple of years sleep has eluded me on almost every night except maybe once or twice a week. Those are the days where I do nothing but sleep. I guess that is recharging or just shutting down? Or both probably since you do have to shut down to re-charge. I think one day I woke up enough to eat, shower and use the bathroom while the rest was just napping the entire day. What is also interesting is when it came time for bed, I was still sleepy enough to go to bed. Go figure ...
At the movies:
The boss holds top honors for another week as "The Boss Baby" keeps the crown and earns another 26.3 million. On track to break 100 mil maybe in another week. Holding ground at #2 is "Beauty and the Beast" with another 25 mil and well over the 400 mil cume. Worldwide looking at 1 billion but domestic probably shy of 500 mil. New at #3 is Smurfs: The Lost Village with 14 mil and slightly below expectations. New at #4 is Going in Style for the older crowd with 12.5 mil and close to expectations. Rounding off the top 5 is "Ghost in the Shell" with an extra 7.4 mil as this one is quickly disappearing.
New movies that did not make the top 5:
Just one this week as The Case for Christ comes in at #10 with only 3.9 mil in its debut. Pretty much expected as most faith based film fall short at the box office but find their after-life in home entertainment. Plus the distribution company for this is not known to have a high presence or impact in the theatrical market.
