Enter and Exit
I was at Lowes this past weekend checking on some items to see if they carried it and I noticed something (as well as most home repair type places)... the entrance and exits are so far apart, why? I mean I'm never sure where to park. Do I park where I go in and it's close to my car but when I come out, it's on the other side. OR, do I park at the exit area so when I leave, I'm already closer to my car at that point? What a silly dilemma to think about it and in general if you sort of park in the middle, it feels like you are far from everything. Interesting how these types of stores are designed like that and I'm not exactly sure of the purpose for that? I understand the garden section having it's own area and lumber a different area. People can enter and exit at the same place for both of those things as one does only go for gardening supplies and/or lumber. But in general, just found that odd.
Weekly Update:
Not a whole log was going on this week but the weather cooled down a lot again. It's supposed to climb back up in the 90's in a couple of days but then drop again after. So I'm not sure what season it is anymore... still Winter (with no rain) or Summer? We didn't have a Spring but that is kind of typical around here. I swear nothing around here makes sense anymore... weather, pricing, taxes... and it all starts with our current president who is probably the dumbest person I have witnessed holding a job. We are basically paying him to be this dumb... therefore that in turn makes us all dumb.
At the movies:
New at #1 is Final Destination: Bloodlines with a very solid 51 million to open. With this, the film should hit 100 mil over time but likely not too far past that. Drop down to #2
is Thunderbolts* with 16.5 mil as it continues to do well but now looking at it, may not hit 200 mil. Still in the mix at #3 is Sinners with 15.4 mil and almost halfway through 200 mil at 240 mil, very good number for this time of year. Hanging on to #4 after 7-weeks is A Minecraft Movie with 5.9 mil as it looks like its finally wrapping up but what a Spring run it had! Rounding off the top 5 is The Accountant 2 with another 4.9 mil as this will definitely fall short of hitting 100 mil.
New movies that did not make the top 5:
Two this week, in at #6 in a wide-release pattern is Hurry Up Tomorrow with 3.3 mil and a poor per screen average of just $1,634. This will hurry up and leave after this coming week is done. In at #9 is Kiki's Deliver Service which may just be a one weekend deal but enough to make 1.1 million but still a very low per screen average of under 1k per location.
