I must say I do like this Spring weather we have been getting lately.  Usually from recent history it has been basically a pre-Summer with temps in the high 80's to 90's but lately ... NICE  I would say low 70's in the day and 60's at night which to me is perfect.  I am not sure how long this can or will last but it has to be all related to the past several years of environmental awareness.  I do fear though all of that is quickly being undone and it will get worse again in a matter of months on this current track we are headed.  Hopefully this will not be the case but I fear it may be.

Weekly Update:
This past week was the annual convention in Las Vegas ... CinemaCon!  I went in just for a quick stay again, arrived Tuesday afternoon and left Wednesday night.  But while there got to catch up with a bunch of old friends and Tuesday night got to watch "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales."  This was the 5th and supposedly final installment of this franchise.  I liked it and thought it was a fun movie, I would place around 2nd or 3rd best with the original still being the best one.  But the cool thing was seeing the movie 2 months prior to its theatrical release and the party afterwards was a lot of fun with great food.  Then spent most of Wednesday hanging out and checking out the trade floor show till the Lionsgate party event.  That was also very fun and while there got some pics with some folks:

*Rob Riggle - Really great guy, so many small roles but hopefully gets a big one soon.
*Aasif Mandvi - more recently in "The Intership" and a pretty nice guy.

At the movies:
A new boss is in town this week ... yep, The Boss Baby earns top honors with a hefty 49 million for its debut.  Above expectations and fair word-of-mouth may get this past 100 mil domestic.  Slight drop to #2 is "Beauty and the Beast" earning an extra 47.5 mil and just shy of 400 mil in its 3 weeks.  No doubt it will break that barrier some time tomorrow.  New at #3 is Ghost in the Shell with a disappointing 19 mil.  Jury is still out on this one but overall do not expect much.  Dipping down to #4 is "Power Rangers" with another 14.5 mil and still decent numbers for this 20+ year old franchise.  Rounding off the top 5 is "Kong: Skull Island" still hanging in there for one more week and earned another 8.3 mil as it comes to an end.

Quote of the week:

"It is better to offer no excuse than a bad one." - George Washington

Facts & Tips:

Penguins can jump 6 feet.

"This is my favorite part coming up right now." - Mike Tyson as himself in "The Hangover."
