Now this is what Winter is all about!  Cold cold and cold!  I do wish for some rain, any rain.  Supposed to rain next week so hopefully that is true.  I did rain a little bit this week but did not last very long at all.  Been pretty cloudy like it will rain, fooled us!  But I still enjoy the cold and heavy clouds even without rain (picture not taken by me).  It at least gives the illusion it might rain or drizzle and thus bringing a SoCali Winter.  But we could sure use some falling water please!  Just a day would be nice to clean up the dirt and layers of smog every where.  We need it ever so badly and any little bit would help.

Weekly Update:
Attended the 76th Annual Golden Globe after-parties this year.  Didn't get to a viewing party but that is OK because by the time I got there, it was already quieted down from traffic and congestion since the show as already going.  But overall not a very eventful night but managed just a few pics with some people:

*Richard Kind - comedy actor and does many voices such as Bing Bong in "Inside Out," great guy!
*Anthony Carrigan - from the TV series "Gotham" and really nice guy.
*Hiroyuki Sanada - from "47 Ronin" and "The Last Samurai," AWESOME guy!
*Michael B. Jordan - from "Creed" and a nice guy.

At the movies:
The seas still rule for a third week in a row as "Aquaman" takes in another 30.7 million and now just over 250 mil cume.  On track to break 300 domestic and good word-of-mouth is bringing in those not into the superhero scene.  New at #2 is Escape Room at 18 mil and above expectations.  Not bad for this week between the old and new year.  Holding to #3 is "Mary Poppins Returns" with 15.7 mil as it continues to do fair numbers.  Down at #4 is "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" with 13 mil and may make it to 150 mil cume for domestic. Rounding off the top 5 is "Bumblebee" with 12.8 mil extra and should get to 100 mil any day now but will disappear after that.

Quote of the week:

The opportunity is often lost by deliberating." - Publilius Syrus

Facts & Tips:

The first TV remote control, introduced in 1950, was called Lazy Bones.

"I'd imagine the whole world was one big machine. Machines never come with any extra parts, you know. They always come with the exact amount they need. So I figured, if the entire world was one big machine, I couldn't be an extra part. I had to be here for some reason. And that means you have to be here for some reason, too." - Asa Butterfield as Hugo Cabret in "Hugo."
