This past week was the 77th Anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.  I believe this was the first year no survivor of the USS Arizona visited due to age or there may no longer be any remaining.  December 7th, 1941 in the early hours Hawaiian time, aircraft carrier airplanes bombed several warships along with airfields that would only temporarily cripple the US naval fleet.  Anything of value to the time were not located at Pearl and I believe that was intentional.  This event swiftly brought the US into World War II.  As we declared war on Japan, right after Germany declared war on the US.

Weekly Update:
It has a been a very busy week for me!  Attended a couple of events and both were pretty fun.  The first was the premiere of "Mortal Engines" which was introduced by Producer Peter Jackson.  The film itself ... just OK.  Very predictable and very cheesy lines you knew were coming but special effects-wise it was nice.  But got to meet some folks there:

*Hera Hilmar - female lead of the film and sweet.
*Jihae*Robert Sheehan - male lead and a really nice guy.
*Stephen Lang - best known from "Avatar" and super awesome guy.
*Leila George - from the film and she was OK.
*Menik Gooneratne - also from the film and very nice.

Then on Saturday I attended the KORE Asian Media "Unforgettable" Award Gala and it was a very long but fun night.  Ran into some familiar faces and met some new ones:

*Kevin Kwan - author of "Crazy Rich Asians" and a very cool guy.
*Chris Pang - from "Crazy Rich Asians" and great guy!
*Debra Messing - of "Will & Grace" fame and such an amazing person!

At the box office:
Mid-season as "Ralph Breaks the Internet" holds to #1 again for a third week earning an extra 16.1 mil and still climbing to 200 mil cume but will fall short.  Holding at #2 is "Dr. Seuss' The Grinch" with 15.2 mil as it surpasses 200 mil cume domestic box office.  Still punching away at #3 is "Creed II" earning 10.3 mil more as it is so close to breaking that 100 mil mark.  May get it by week's end.  Hanging on to #4 is "Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald" with 6.8 mil as it quickly fizzles out.  Rounding off the top five for at least one more week is "Bohemian Rhapsody" with another 6 mil and slowly approaching 200 mil cume.
