I think I am getting sick ... yep, a cold has sit in and now it will likely develop into a lingering cough.  Now this isn't a stuck-in-bed sickness (thankfully) but if it was, that would require clam chowder soup in a bread bowl along with watching Lupin: Castle of Cagliostro!  That was always a "being sick cure" for me despite it not actually making me better physically but at least mentally a bit and on the road to feeling better.  Nope, this is a cold with the running nose and soon to be cough.  Oh joy, I just hope unlike last year, it doesn't last for 3 to 4 months and goes away MUCH sooner than that!

Weekly Update:
Spent some time at Disneyland this past week.  It was probably the most fun I have had in a very long long time!  Got to go on the favorite rides such as Haunted Mansion as Nightmare Before Christmas, Small World Holiday version, Mr. Toad's, Alice, Snow White, Astro-Blasters, Star Tours and the newly re-opened train around the park!  I haven't been on that in over a decade.  Also got to spend a lot of time at Disney's California Adventure and did some stuff there like Toy Story Midway Mania and played a game at the new boardwalk which was fun.  Luigi's was good for a twirl and Soarin' around the World.  That is about all the rides I can do over there but it was still pretty fun.  Hopefully can do it again and have as much fun (photo is not mine).
At the movies:
The holidays are in full swing but the box office is a bit light right now.  Hopefully the numbers will rebound over the next couple of days as possibly the majority were out doing shopping this last weekend before Christmas.  Swimming to the top this weekend is Aquaman with a solid 72.1 million to open and almost right on expectations!  Word-of-mouth is strong on the film and could see 100 mil cume easily by end of this week.  Flying low at #2 is Mary Poppins Returns with 31 mil and below expectations.  Reactions are fair on this film, may be a struggle to reach 100 mil by end of year, if at all.  Rolling up to #3 is Bumblebee with 21 mil and also below expectations but good reactions.  However, the taste of the previous Transformer films could be holding this one back.  Drop down to #4 is "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" with another 16.7 mil as it struggles to reach 100 mil cume and may not see it till sometime next year.  Rounding off the top 5 is "The Mule" with 9.3 mil as this gets more award consideration.

New movies that did not make the top 5:
Two this week show up.  First is Second Act coming in at #7 with only 6.5 mil to open and pretty much as expected.  This will be a quick burn at best.  And finishing at #9 is Welcome to Marwen with 2.4 mil and also as expected for the most part.
