Is it fake or real?
Over the weekend I attended this event at Madame Tussaud's Was Museum for charity and it was a bit chaotic but still fun. I haven't been to that museum since around when it first opened and back then, the likeness of people were very off and off-putting, I was surprised that they were even approved to be used on several entertainment icons. But from this recent event, went through the museum again, they were mostly much better! There were still that seemed off but others that were very spot on. I was surprised by a few and others were just OK. I also didn't realize how interactive the museum is with photo ops and I guess you can touch the exhibits as well since there are no barriers. It's a pretty neat experience but also a bit short, you just walk through it and look and then done. Also, not something you would do often as I don't think they change up the displays too often. Maybe they do but from what I can tell they would have to change out a whole background section which seems like a lot. But...good job on the quality, it has much improved!
Weekly Update:
I recently tried this glutenous rice milk tea drink and it was pretty nice. I only had it 30% sweetness so I wonder if its meant to be like a desert drink. I did get coconut jelly, love me some jelly and also coconut, and that seem to accompany the beverage pretty well. I know there is a lot of things that people are making "milk" out of, not sure why they call it milk and not just something like rice water or rice juice... actually juice would be more accurate because you are squeezing out the liquid from something like you would an orange. I've had corn milk before which was good and I almost think if it was served warm in a bowl, it could pass as a soup! It had a graining soft texture and the rice milk doesn't but what makes this rice milk glutenous and other ones not? How it's processed? It didn't feel thick like expecting a more gelatinous milk, it was just... rice water. But, I definitely would get it again, it was pretty nice (with the amount of sugar I had). Also the image is not the one from my drink, I forgot to get an image of it.
At the movies:
Anime is dominating the box office as of late but usually doesn't last very long or only staying on a limited release... interesting strategy but also why? New at #1 is Chainsaw Man - The Movie: Reze Arc (way to long of a title) ears a solid 17.3 million but unsure how this will last as we head into Halloween. Drop down to #2 is Black Phone 2 with 13 mil extra and not a bad drop considering the new average. New at #3 is Regretting You with 12.9 mil and could be a quick burn on this one. New at #4 is Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere with 9.1 mil and a substantial wide release. Not a great number unfortunately, but will be up for award contention. Rounding off the top 5 is Tron: Ares with another 4.9 mil and this franchise could be end of line.
New movies that did not make the top 5:
Two (sort of) this week. In at #7 is Shelby Oaks with 2.4 mil and on a solid wide-release pattern so not that good of a number. Re-release at #10 is ParaNorman with less than 1 mil to open, not even making 1k per screen and will be out fast but still nearly all profit for it.
