What season is it?

It started to warm up towards the end of the week!  I was starting to enjoy the pre-Winter weather and it creeped back up in the 80's during the day.  Not sure what happened but where did my 60's and 70's go?  I hope this was just a fluke and they drop back down soon and fast.  But not too fast, the drastic changes sometimes brings us some earthquakes it seems like.  But what happened with the rain, the cool clouds and chilly weather we were starting to get?  I was hoping with it starting early meant a very wet Winter for us because we sure need it after the more recent years we have had.  Here's to hoping we still get that!  One thing about California (even just SoCal) is we sure get it all... heat waves (which give us our fire season), rain, snow in the mountains not to far off, fog and clear skies... we sure do get it all here and they say we don't have seasons?  We most certainly do.

Weekly Update:

Growing up, and even now, I was never a person who liked vegetables.  Maybe that is typical of children but hated all of them but potatoes I suppose.  Carrots, peas, broccoli, cauliflower, all of it pretty much.  As you grow older, you start to accept and like things a bit more and more.  Now I don't mind carrots but typically not raw unless it's baby carrots with ranch dressing.  Celery in a soup is fine and cucumbers that are pickled but rarely just plain unless also in a salad with dressing (likely ranch again).  But one veggie, well I guess two that I never could care for is cauliflower and peas.  Peas especially though, they just aren't my favorite and have an odd taste and texture to me.  Sometimes I feel like I'm eating some kind of bug and they are popping on my mouth, I know, gross.  But, I do like edamame with a soy dressing.  I'm not sure if that is in the same family of veg or not but yeah, no peas for me please.

At the movies:

As we approach Halloween, horror/trillers take the box office this week.  New at #1 is Black Phone 2 with a nice 26.5 million and a solid number for this genre of film.  They do tend to drop fast after the first week so we'll see what happens next weekend.  Drop down to #2 is Tron: Ares with 11.1 mil as this will struggle to reach 100 mil and will not get there.  New at #3 is Good Fortune with 6.2 mil which isn't a great number but kind of expected.  Holding ground at #4 is One Battle After Another with 4 mil extra and though it won't go too much further, will still be up for award contention.  Drop down to #5 is Roofman with 3.7 mil and will be falling through the roof shortly.

New movies that did not make the top 5:
Only one this week at #6 is Truth & Treason earning only 2.7 mil on a wide release pattern doing around $1300 per screen average.
