These shoes are made for walking?

New shoes!

I picked up some new shoes that I call all-purpose.  By that I mean these will be my every day walk around for no reason shoes if I need to go out and do errands or something so, they were cheap.  But they were Adidas brand so hopefully will last me much longer that my previous Hurley brand (by the way they sucked and only last about a year).  A year may sound like a lot but I have had Oakley shoes that lasted me over 10+ years so that is my measure of standard to base things on.  But they were cheap but with the name I hope not cheaply made so time will tell!  But yeah, Hurley's were cheap and cheaply made but I'm not mad about it because they were only like $20 so... I guess you pay for what you get.  Also, I wasn't family with Hurley as a shoe and I guess I know why now (picture not of my shoes but I did get black ones).

Weekly Update:

Started to get a lot cooler this week with some moisture again!  It drizzled a couple of days, enough to get all the dirt from the top of my car down to the mid-section of my car, at least its something and hopefully getting some drizzle/rain this early means for a very wet Winter which we desperately need!  What is a drizzle anyway?  It's like not a mist but not a rain so just in between I would say.  A mist (to me) is like a fog but with water so as you move, your car gets wet from the water just floating around.  Rain is full on water dropping from the sky so a drizzle is mist falling from the sky I guess?  It's just enough water to cover the ground and move the dust from your car around.

At the movies:

New at #1 through AMC Theatres distributing is Taylor Swift: The Official Release Party of a Showgirl opened to 33 million which really isn't a movie or a documentary but a show.  Slight drop down to #2 is One Battle After Another with another 11.1 mil as it revs up for award season.  New at #3 is The Smashing Machine with 6 mil for its debut and another potential award contender.  Drop down to #4 is Gabby's Dollhouse: The Movie with 5.2 mil and this will likely fade out fast.  Holding on to #5 for its 5th week is The Conjuring: Last Rites with an extra 4 mil as it slowly wraps up it's run.

New movies that did not make the top 5:
There was a re-release of Avatar: The Way of Water that took the #7 spot for 3.2 mil and a very low per screen average but it was still all profit.  In at #9 was Good Boy with 2.3 mil and a very low per screen average so this will likely be out of theatres soon.  Coming in at #10 is Kantara A Legend: Chapter 1 with 1.7 mil and this did open to less than 1,000 screens but still not a great number.  If there is a Chapter 2 coming, it will struggle to get screens after this performance.
