Consistency is good!

Another week of really nice weather! The days were supposedly in the 80's but we had some much nice breezes going it kept us well in the mid 70's if not cooler.  The nights were pretty cold I had to close up the windows!  I like this weather and just hope it continues with the breezes because they can make a 90 degree day feel almost down to 80!  We also had some nice foggy mornings as well and I love that!  It keeps a nice overcast and just feels and looks nice and cool (even cold!).  We aren't a very foggy region but we do get a few days out of the year and it is a nice change of pace and weather for us.  Now, bring on the rain please, my car is so dirty it needs a free car wash!  Not to mention the soot and dirt all over needs a good washing away too.

Weekly Update:

The life of a game does end... last week an app game called The Simpson's Tapped Out announced it will be ending with the final day to play on January 24, 2025.  Turns out I have been playing this game for over 9-years!  It wasn't a complicated game and unlike a lot of games it wasn't competitive.  It was a very casual, fun game surrounded by the theme of Springfield, the home of the Simpsons.  I didn't have to worry about troops or a base shield or getting to the next level for enhancements or the ability to upgrade something.  It was just a simple, fun and no-brainer game I enjoyed and if I missed a day, so what, I knew nothing would happen and I won't lose anything.  So, I am sad to hear this game is ending but I'll definitely keep playing it till the lights turn off.

At the movies:

New at #1 is The Wild Robot with a decent 35 million to open.  A good number for this time of year and a film with heart.  Next week will tell us how well this movie will do in the long run.  Drop down to #2 is Beetlejuice Beetlejuice with another 16 mil and now hitting 250 mil, could possibly make it to 300 mil when it's said and done.  Sliding down to #3 is Transformers One with 9.3 mil and this looks like it will fall very short of 100 mil mark.  New at #4 is Devara Part 1 with 5.1 mil and these numbers aren't very strong that we may not see part 2 in wide release.  Rounding off the top 5 is Speak No Evil with an extra 4.3 mill and will be dropping out soon.

New movies that did not make the top 5:
Just one this week, in at #6 is the epic Megalopolis with only 4 mil to open and definitely fell short of expectations.
