SUPER BOWL?!

What??  I went to the Super Bowl! Yes, the actual game at the stadium in seats in Las Vegas!  Definitely one of those once in a lifetime type of things.  I was fortunate that a friend won tickets and I was their plus one to this one.  I have been to actual games in the past and those were fun but the game of all games for American football, the big show, the championship... it's always a different vibe.  Watching games on TV to seeing them live is already an amazing difference but from a regular (or even non-season) game to the big game is a whole new level!  The energy was just off the scale even if you don't care for any of the teams, it's an experience and I'm glad I was given the opportunity.  Will I ever get this one again?  I doubt it so will remember and savor this for the rest of my life.

Weekly Update:

Talk about some rain!!!  Beginning of the week it rained HARD all day and night for 3 to 4 days.  We sure needed it and everything smells, looks and feels so clean. I heard we received enough water is our reservoirs to provide 65,000 people water for a full year.  That sounds like a lot but... there is over 3 million people in LA and Orange County plus the Inland Empire and not to mention San Diego.  So it's a really good boost and with the mountains covered in snow, that will also help further but, we need more rain.  This was a good down pour though and it helped.  We can't let up our conservation efforts though.  If we continue then maybe we can make this last or stretch it out till the next big down pour.  We just need seasons again.  Growing up it would always rain some in December, a lot of January and more in February.  Now we don't know when we will get any and that is a problem... one I don't think we can fix, sadly.

At the movies:

Maintaining the #1 spot is Argylle for a 2nd week and earning another 6.5 million.  Struggling along but this weekend expected to be low overall with the Super Bowl game and other televised events surrounding it.  New at #2 is Lisa Frankenstein with a disappointing 3.8 mil to open.  Cleary was trying to counter-program the game with the female audience but failed... could the Taylor Swift factor draw that audience in to watch the game??  Still doing well at #3 is Beekeeper with 3.5 mil and continues to buzz slowly along.  Also holding but dropped a bit to #4 is The Chosen: Season 4 with an extra 3.2 mil and will eventually fade out to streaming services.  Still in the top 5 is Wonka with 3.1 mil more and continues to perform well!
