Weekly Update:
I attended (once again) the 2nd "GeekFest" for 2008 this past Saturday and got some decent shots with some folks. Heard a lot of good stories as well and of course just watching the crazy-folks who attend (excluding myself naturally):
*Elena Verdugo- an INCREDIBLY sweet sweet lady who had me give her a peck on the cheek before I could leave for the day.
*Michael Beck- nice guy and in one of my favorite movies, Xanadu.
*Carl Ballantine- very sweet man.
*Virginia Davis- one of the nicest people you could meet.
*Dirk Benedict- an ok guy but boy, did he have a lot to talk about!
*Michael DeLuise- at first he wasn't the nicest of guys but later he turned out pretty cool.
*Dom Deluise- such a nice and funny man!
*Richard Dreyfuss- film legend and all around cool guy.

Laughing at the box office as Baby Mama takes the #1 spot this weekend with a decent 18.3 million. Not a great number but good enough to earn it the top spot for one weekend. New at #2 is Harold & Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay with only 14.6 mil to open. Small drop to #3 is "The Forbidden Kingdom" with 11.2 mil more. Another small drop to #4 is "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" with an extra 11 mil. Rounding off the top 5 is "Nim's Island" with 4.5 mil and probably the last time we will see this film in the top 5.
New movies that did not make the top 5: Only one this week and its no surprise here as Deception comes in at the #10 spot with only 2.2 mil.

Other News:

This is a little bit disturbing, just the other day an earthquake hit Mexico and on Saturday another smaller one hit Reno, NV. Looks like the plates are shifting a bit again and California is right in the middle. Plus our weather lately has been very hot to very cold to hot again. Analyst say that possibly the next big quake for California may not be Northern Cal but Southern. Also that the quake could come from the next day to 30 years from now ... what!? What kind of guess is that??? I think someone I know will get in a fender-bender car accident any time from this Tuesday to April 20th, 2038. Now let's see how accurate my prediction is! Who are these people that we trust their judgement when its over a span of 30 years?!?! That is like saying I could find one red colored barn somewhere between Canada and South America, seriously!!! Now if they said the time frame could be between 1 to 2 years, ok then, that is more accurate then a 30-year time span.
