Another heat wave upon us!

An update from last week and the eyes... improved but not 100%  They are taking a much longer time than when I had a blood vessel pop but then again, an actual needle went into my eyes!  I would say right now my left eye is about 95% normal but seems to be tired and guessing because it's trying to make up for the right eye.  The right eye is around 85% but still has haziness but now with both eyes open there are moments of clarity.  I think what is really making my eyes tired is having to look at a computer screen all day while working and some things are in dark mode which is helpful but then other things are not and don't have a dark mode options and that puts a strain on my eyes.  Especially when going back and fourth between the two, that really hurts the right eye more than the left.  I wish there was a general dark mode feature for everything instead of individual programs.  A long time ago I didn't care if it was dark or not but now, big advocate of it and been using it for a couple of years now when I can.  Sure is easier on the eyes strain over time.

Weekly Update:

It sure continued to heat up again this past week with another Winter heat wave!  We reached temperatures in the high 80's, almost hitting 90 and no winds or a drop of rain in sight!  I don't know what is happening anymore but this climate change and global warming is getting worse and worse.  We need to do something NOW to slow the progression of it getting worse as reversing it seems pretty much impossible.  I think most of the snow (if not all of it) has melted off already from the mountains and that is way too soon and too fast for us!  They should be there at least till March or April but to see it go now is not good.  Also, the forecast for the coming week is also warm with more temperatures into the 80's again.  The nights have started to cool off again to the 50's but they were in the low 70's which sounds cool but again, no breeze, add at least 5 degrees to that.

At the movies:

Big and interesting mix-up at the box office this weekend.  New at #1 is Send Help with 20 million to open and getting some good reviews. The drop off next week will be a big tell on how well it will do though. New at #2 is Iron Lung with 17.9 mil and not too much on this film, could see this potentially be a quick drop.  Also new (and questionable) at #3 is Melania with 7 mil and with reports of so many empty theatres, it's possible Amazon may have four-walled several key theatres in big markets to artificially inflate those numbers. Drop down to #4 is Zootopia 2 with 5.8 mil more as is slowly winds down.  New and rounding off the top 5 is Shelter with 5.5 mil and another that will drop out quickly.

Quote of the week:
"Advice is like snow - the softer it falls, the longer it dwells upon, and the deeper it sinks into the mind." - Samuel Taylor Coleridge

Facts & Tips:

Dogs can make about 10 sounds, while cats make about 100.

"Because she's a dog person, Max. And dog people do weird, inexplicable things. Like... they get dogs instead of cats." - Lake Bell as the voice of Chloe in The Secret Life of Pets.
