OUTBREAK!

New Year Edition

So it's a new year but probably the same old crap... however, it is too early to tell but so far nothing has changed or seems different yet.  Now, will it be at certain times, of course.  But will the majority of it be the same... highly likely.  The evening of December 31st and the day of January 1st was all the same for me except, a lot less fireworks at night which is good!  I'm not sure if it was raining a lot or a little but just glad they weren't crazy.  After having dogs, you sure do not appreciate or care for fireworks as much as one would growing up.  Knowing what it does to animals in general, to me it's not worth it in general.  So, I am not going to wish anyone a happy new year or any of that silliness and just say... yeah, it's now 2026 and good luck out there!

Weekly Update:

What is happening in the world... or more specifically the US?  We had the measles eradicated.. meaning no longer in existence for 30-years and now there is a massive outbreak.  When you eradicate a disease, you keep doing what you have been doing so it doesn't come back, ever!  But, of course this current US administration is a complete joke and now we not only have the measles outbreak (again, 30 YEARS of nothing), we also have this super flu going around that is 10x worse than just having the flu.  It is causing hospitalization, it has gotten so bad.  Also, they redacted the comments about Tylenol causing autism... things we already knew for decades yet they thing they found the cure for cancer (despite having cut all cancer research funds).  I guess the goal of the current administration is two-fold; get rid of people by deportation if they are illegal or not, criminal or not.  And, reduce the population by causing illness which will lead to death.  We are living in a disturbing cartoon right now.

At the movies:

Still holding on to #1 after 3 weeks is Avatar: Fire and Ash with 40 million more and now just passing 300 mil.  The drops week-to-week have been well below average and this could hit 400 mil but award season starts so it could play a factor in it not getting there. Also hanging on to #2 is Zootopia 2 with 19 mil and only a single digit drop and potentially could also hit the 400 mark. Up a spot to #3 is The Housemaid with 14.9 mil as it crawls to the 100 mil mark, could possibly get there. Slight drop to #4 is Marty Supreme with 12.6 mil as it slowly winds down.  Holding at #5 is Anaconda  with 10 mil and unlikely to hit 100 mil but still did decent overall.
