COLUMBUS DAY EARLY EDITION

This is a special early edition blog for a couple of reasons. My surgery was postponed to Monday so that gives me an extra week to post before taking a short hiatus. Plus, it's also another holiday upon us for everyone to chill and relax an extra day. So to the great explorer I say, "THANKS!" and wish we still wore funny hats around the town ... or city or villa.

Weekly Update:
So this past week was pretty much the same as the previous week except I actually got out a few times! Only reason because I had a few doctor appointments for all the pre-surgery type of stuff. Mobility was a little better and it was good to get out a few times and drive around.

At the movies:
Comedy takes the box office reign again as "The Game Plan" holds onto #1 with 16.3 mil for this light holiday weekend. New at the #2 spot is The Heartbreak Kid with a disappointing 14 mil and I am sure they were expecting first place as well. Dropping down to #3 is "The Kingdom" with another 9.3 mil. At #4 is "Resident Evil: Extinction" with an extra 4.3 mil and pretty close to being extinct itself now. Rounding off the top 5 is The Seeker: The Dark is Rising with only 3.7 mil and the dark has won.

New movies that did not make the top 5: Only one this time around and I think its safe to say that J-Lo has box office taboo associated with her right now as Feel the Noise feels the dumpster with 3.4 mil and the beat stops.

Comment Response:
None at this time.

Other News:
Baseball play-offs are in full swing and this is when it's actually fun and exciting to watch. The rest of the year is pretty boring and uneventful for the most part but October is when we narrow the playing field with just a handful of teams. Looks like the Angels are now out as the Red Sox's sweep them out of a shot for the championship. Well, the Angels had a great year being one of the top teams with one of the dumbest names in the sport being The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. I am now waiting for The San Francisco Athletics of Oakland and The New York Yankees of New York ... seriously!
